Paraphrasing plays a great role in academic writer. Without proper paraphrasing and acknowledgement of sources, the content lose reliability and on the other hand, the unethical use of others’ intellectual property is also regarded as serious offence in academic writing. When an author is accused of plagiarism, along with hampering the career of the students, it can also affect the writers’ academic reputation. On the other hand, plagiarized content produced by a student might also spoil integrity of students’ academic career. As opined by Hopp & Speil (2021), plagiarism is considered to be serious crime in one’s academic career. It has been noticed that along with maligning legal and monetary repercussions, plagiarism could also affect students’ basic knowledge.
