Specifically, this chapter pointed out that: • the current generation of children in the US is the first that will have a lower life expectancy than their parents • a child born in the year 2000 has a 1 in 3 chance of developing diabetes • People who develop obesity or diabetes have a lowered life-expectancy of 15-20 years What are your thoughts on these statistics?
