(EXAMPLES of a thesis: a) Buck’s novel, The Good Earth, offers a clear picture of the position of women in pre-industrial China; b) In Buck’s novel, The Good Earth, “land” plays the most important role in one’s success or failure; c) Pearl Buck’s novel, The Good Earth, offers the reader images of strong family relationships in China. You may choose your own thesis. In the 3 to 4 body paragraphs, you should support your thesis by what you read in the book. Finally, you should offer a conclusion.
