Leaders have power and through this power they exert influence and authority. Different types of leadership use different types of power. There are mainly five types of power which are generally the sources of power for the leaders. A leader possessing extreme skill and knowledge in a field exercises the expert power as he is an undisputed to-go person in case anyone has any query regarding that particular field. This is known as expert power. When a leader gets some important position like COO, CEO, CFO- it carried power with it. This ia called the positional power.
