Sub-Saharan Africa with many underdeveloped nations, till date relies massively on the traditional medicine practised by the healers as the most accessible means of health-care.These healers master the healing touch with their age-old knowledge of herbal extracts that they administer which is topped with spiritual insight they offer to the ignorant local masses. They offer their expertise even in deadly diseases like AIDS. So, then why do the rural masses depend on these traditional healers more often than the biomedical healthcare? The reasons are many at the same time complicated.
