Q Instructions: Have students list the traits which are feminine and masculine. Then have them evaluate the adjectives as to those associated with success in the job market. List characteristics that describe masculine traits. Are deviations from the list considered to be positive? What is the impact on society if men are discouraged from exhibiting positive characteristics from this list? Link this to the concept of the “masculine mystique” (p. 328) in the text.

There are two genders in the world and that is male and female. Each of the genders has their own certain characteristics or trait and that is the most important thing that differentiates the two genders. Male has their own set of traits like that of focusing on own needs, competitive, assertive, protective, goal-directed, aggressive, rational, independent, and mono-task. Whereas on the other hand women have many traits which are quite opposite to men like that of being compassionate and caring for others, collaborative, receptive, nurture (delicate), interdependence, intuitive, and multi-task (Cousin, 2018).
