Q First, what are your thoughts in relation to the backlash Captain Marvel received (both the movie, the character, and the actress) from predominantly male "fans" who either blatantly refused to see the movie and/or intentionally rate the movie lower in a very collectivised manner. How do you react to that "fan" reaction of this strong character? Second, Daenerys was a very powerful character within Game of Thrones. And as an audience we followed and championed much of her journey to the point where most folks saw her as very strong female lead (and a multi-dimensional one at that). And yet, in the last season, she's portrayed not only as less strong, but also mentally unstable, and *spoilers* made to be dominated by John Snow, including him killing her. Similar to the first, question, how do you react to that sudden character shift under the claim of things getting better? Third, and finally, the two examples I brought up here, are white leads; how have we seen people of color represented in science fiction and fantasy as of late?
