Primates are the group of mammals that includes lemurs, lorises, tarsiers, cebids, Baboons, Langurs, apes, and humans. Primates have many adaptive features that make them better adapt to the environment. Dietary versatility is one of the traits in the primates and the teeth adaptation record is present in the primates. The four distinctive types of teeth among the primates is their primary anatomical features which include incisors (I), canines (C), Pre-molars (P), and molars (M). The primate's ancestor also has the same types of teeth so they can also eat the same food as primates. Based on the quadrant dentition the dental formula in primates, the teeth number in the left and right, and upper and lower jaw are similar.
