Module 2 Ethical Dilemma

Q For this week's discussion assignment, your discussion group will virtually discuss the case "Thinking Ethically: Are Employers Responsible For Ergonomics in Workers' Homes?" found on page 124 of your textbook. Post a response to the case questions and then respond to each of your group members by offering additional ideas, encouragement, or opinions. For new users, click "Reply" below to open a text box. Reminder: First initial posts should be timely so group members have time to find your post and respond before the deadline. Group members should not be expected to respond to a post made at 11:45pm on the due date. I will deduct points from students who do not post their first initial post timely. A good guideline is to give your group members at least 24 hours before the deadline to respond to your post. Group members unable to respond to late posts before the deadline will not be penalized.

I found this week’s discussion to be a practical one. Nowadays, this pandemic phase has made the workplace in a different pattern in this modern world. Based on the case study, I have the following answers. 1. There are many pros and cons when employers leave it up to workers to set up the work area at home like they will try to spend their morning hours on a couch and curled up over a tablet to peering into a tiny phone screen or messaging. Secondly, there is a possibility that an employee may get involved in performing his household work and which may lead to deterioration in work quality. Thirdly, the employees can become lethargic and forget their work culture.
