Q What were some of the key social-reform movements of the early to mid-1800s and what were their goals and why? Do you see any common themes and ideas, and if so what were they?
During the first half of the 19th century, I noticed that people who have suffered injustices in the American society were being ready to abolish those injustices. These reforms would definitely change a lot. Three major reform movements of 1800s were Temperance Movement, Abolitionism, and women rights.
