In the genre of philosophy, “empiricism” refers to the belief that in reality all knowledge comes from or primarily relies on sensory experiences. Along with skepticism and rationalism, empiricism also serves to be one of the significant sources of knowledge. Empiricism therefore, emphatically focuses on the evidence in formation of knowledge within one’s mind and intellect (Buckner, 2018). Empiricism however does not agree that there is nothing like innate ideas. Rather these ideas arise within the mind of the individuals by examining and evaluating the empirical evidences. Empiricists use their senses and then come to some sort of conclusion.
