Each state of the unites states of America are allocated electoral representatives that is equivalent to the number of the Senators it can have added with the number of representatives it has that is based on the population of the concerned state. The ultimate intention is to elect the President and the Vice-President voted by the electors of the Electoral College. I think the biggest advantage is that there is a scope for states with lower populations to express their choices and need. As a disadvantage, I feel that its complexity is a major concern along with the discrepancy and controversy between the popular vote and the Electoral College vote, which may lead to popular candidates losing out because of electoral preferences. I am not a big fan, and I also believe that every person has the right to chose their own leader, and popular vote should prevail, considering the fact that as much as it is necessary to give every state, big and small, a voice, it is also necessary that the candidate winning is voted by all and accepted by all.
