One domain that I have seen dualistic thinking is in politics, this dualistic thinking is especially hard because both sides have a strong merit. The issue comes in globalizations and at what point does globalization turn into imperialism. This issue came about when facebook started doing free internet services to third world countries. The philanthropic goal was to give everyone access to the internet and devices to encourage digital literacy and inspire innovation and stimulate economic growth.
