Emily Dickinson has been believed to have greatly contributed to the tapestry of American poetry. Her poems are of special worth because of her frank expressions and her constant exploration of the idea of death. Her works reflect a great deal about her own personality which was hardly revealed to the common people. It was quite later after her death that the world came to know about her feminist views. Even today, her poems are read through feminist lens to understand how much depths her thoughts were in. “Tell all the truth but tell it slant” is one of my favorite poems by Emily Dickinson.
