Developing Proper Evaluations

Developing Proper Evaluations

Q Using Objective 1 as your example (and if Objective 1 changed from the Objectives, Strategies, and Tactics Worksheet in Week 6, it is fine), determine the Evaluation points your student agency must include in your PR plan. Chapter 11 (Scott, 2021) describes the process of Evaluation and the elements your student agency should consider. As all Objectives must be specific and measurable (remember SMART from COMM 3210?), your Evaluation decisions must be able to measure them. Present this information as a memo to me (business writing format always in this class, not academic writing format). This memo only needs the development of one Objective. You'll repeat the process for every Objective for your final plan. NOTE: Prose counts. Adapted from The PR Campaigns Worktext (Scott, 2021), Worksheet 11A. Objective 1 Paste your student agency's Objective 1 here. Timeline Consider the Objective and what the measurable elements are. Then, look at the overall timeline for your student agency's PR plan. What specific dates during the actual timeline of the execution of the campaign must you evaluate this Objective? List and explain two specific dates. Evaluation Consider the Objective and what the measurable elements are. What do you need to evaluate to determine success or failure to meet the Objective? Explain your rationale. Example 1 Select one date from the Timeline section and one measurable element from the Evaluation section and write an Evaluation for the PR campaign. Make sure you write the Evaluation specifically for the Objective and specific to a plot of the overall timeline. Be considerate of major milestones or events of special significance, as an Evaluation often follows large-scale visible Tactics. Example 2 Select a different date from the Timeline section and a different measurable element from the Evaluation section and write another Evaluation for the PR campaign. Make sure you write the Evaluation specifically for the Objective and specific to a plot of the overall timeline. Be considerate of major milestones or events of special significance, as an Evaluation often follows large-scale visible Tactics.
