Q Identity is a concept that changes as we progress through life and development. During middle-adulthood, we sometimes encounter what’s called a mid-life crisis. During this time we’re questioning our identity, decisions and choices, and at times, take drastic measures to spark a change in our lives. Most research indicates that a change in identity and a potential midlife crisis happens in the later years of life, but with the ever demanding needs of society, younger generations are finding it more difficult to create and preserve their identity Discuss the research around a midlife crisis. Consider the following- Is it limited to later years in life? Can a 30-year-old experience a mid-life crisis? How does our society illustrate a midlife crisis through media? Why does a midlife crisis occur? Can divorce be a result of a midlife crisis? What can we do to prevent a midlife crisis? How do you feel about your own identity? Think about ten years ago, did you have the same identity, or has it changed? Please respond to at least one peer post, and include a reference to the article you researched.

As humans, we live around 80-85 years on an average and the middle of the expansion of our lives can be a tricky period of time as for some people, this time becomes like a turmoil of emotions and the person has got caught in the middle of the sea of uncertainty and decreased self-confidence. There are many things, both happy and sad, happen during our lives and some of them can have deep impacts on us. Stress is a vital factor in the case of a midlife crisis as a middle-aged person can go through many stressful situations which might lower his energy and confidence (Lachman, Teshale, Agrigoroaei, 2015). Also after a certain age, our bodily fictions start to dysfunctions and we suffer from many diseases which can trigger the mid-life crisis.
