Male gaze is still a practice that exists today where women are objectified and male see them as an object. There are many painting and movies that have used women as an object. Today’s film use women as a piece for attracting the men so that other men can carry out their work. Women are shown using their body to distract men so that a purpose could be completed. There are many examples of movies but I chose one painting to show how male gaze worked and that is “The Luncheon on the Grass, 1862-1863”.
