Q What has been the role of the federal government in the effort to achieve equality by the aged, disabled, and the gay and lesbian community? Does more need to be done?
The federal government is extremely sensitive towards the topic of equality for the aged, disabled and gay and lesbian community. America is known for its effort towards providing equality to people of all types and kinds. We know that the month of June has been declared as the LGBT pride month by the White House. The efforts towards equality are being done through the local executive action. There have been many policies and directives issued especially towards employers in order to give employment to the aged, disabled and LGBT community (Federal Legislation | Human Rights Campaign, 2019).
