This assignment is for each of us to pick between Lev Vygotsky and Jean Piaget theory of human development. I could relate with most of Lev Vygotsky theories, I have two sons and one grandson who is nine months old. It seemed to me, most of Jean Piaget theories where just that, we have no proof on his theories of children’s development. Where as I have firsthand experience with Lev Vygotsky theory. His zone of proximal development I have seen in both of my children. Helping them(scaffolding) when they need help not doing things for them it also makes them think for them self. I believe teachers also do this in Massachusetts by putting children that need extra help in different classes or more advanced learners in an advanced class.
