The video on patterns of production tries to explain the difference between the mechanistic vs. organismic society. It was discussed that in the earlier years, the tribes used to search for supplies through hunting and food gathering which involved fruits, vegetables and other forms of vegetation methods. The food supplies were provided by both males and females and both of them were valued equally within the group. It was found that there was no permanent leader within the groups and if a person was good at hunting he was appointed as the leader for that particular activity. Similarly, if a person was good in fishing he was appointed to be the leader for that activity and in this way, the leaders were appointed for the group, It was also found that both men and women had an equal contribution in the work they used to do (Laman, 2010).
