Question two Instances of foreshadowing in the story can be seen where an unidentified horrific odor can be smelt emanating from Emily’s house. Another example is when Emily's father passes on, and she does not accept that his father is dead until three days later when she accepts the feat and lets burial proceed. The thrill that comes with foreshadowing in a story is that an event is predicted before it happens. At the same time, someone may doubt the events that are being predicted; they will be left with no option in the end when the event unravels.
