Q Students will write a 6+ page paper telling the story of 1-2 people, based on their oral history interviews, while simultaneously exploring one of the key questions of the course. Students may pair up with a partner for this assignment, but the page count minimum will be raised to 9+ pages. Papers must substantively engage with at least two course texts, and draw upon at least one academic source from anthropology, sociology, psychology, or social theory (another work by an author we read in class is acceptable and encouraged). Papers must have a title, introduction, thesis statement, and conclusion, and must use parenthetical citation. +3 extra credit if students submit proof that they brought their paper to the writing center.
