It rarely changes from one side to the other, but you might add to it or adjust a reason/result as you continue to research and write. Your thesis statement should have a clearly identifiable topic and statement, with an optional reason / result. You are free to follow one of the models for thesis statements from the textbook, but don't feel like you have to. Assignment Guidelines For this assignment, you will submit the following: • Your working thesis statement. • A short paragraph explaining choices you made in the thesis. What helped or hindered you in writing this first draft of your thesis? Do you think your thesis will change/develop more as we go, or are you feeling confident that it will stay pretty much the same?
