The passage from John 1:4 says “In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” The gospel of John is quite different from the other three gospels for it does not focus solely on the life of Jesus on earth instead John is continually trying to tell us that Jesus is truly the Messiah and that through Him we will have life (Schenck, 2010). In this passage too he says that life (eternal life) is only with Jesus. In simple terms, those who believe in Him will have eternal life and He is the only hope for the life of all the human being on earth.
