Q How do you describe your ethnicity? Do you include your family’s country of origin? Do you consider yourself multiethnic? How does your ethnicity compare to that of the people you spend most of your time with?
While talking about my own ethnicity, it can be said that I am white. My parents are also white and also my grandparents belong to the same ethnic group. All of us were born in the United States and my great ancestors have also lived here. I consider myself to be an American and most of my friends also belong to the same ethnic group. I have some friends from Asia as well who are working in my office. There are many office colleagues who are not my friends though, who come from different countries and belong to different ethnic groups.
