From the readings in this module, it is evident that the frequency of the performance appraisal is the sole responsibility of the manager. Also, the evaluations can be carried out either on a monthly or quarterly basis. However, in most cases, the evaluations are usually carried out annually. It has also been stated that novice and probationary employees are usually subjected to more frequent evaluations, especially during their probationary period’s experience (Yuriev et al., 2020). It is also indicated that veteran employees employed in highly professional organizations are usually evaluated less frequently. It suggested that there are one-time only critical incident evaluations as well as after-action reports.
