Q Take one communication theory and apply it to a real world PR situation. (You cannot use examples used in class lectures or instructor’s ideas. It must be a PR situation that you found and identified.)
The communication theory that I have chosen to discuss in this thread is the theory that was developed by Maxwell McCombs and Donald Shaw which is known as Agenda Setting Theory. This theory goes in the concept of like Media cannot tell one what they should think but it will tell one what to think about. According to this theory, the media will be taking the decision on what to put importance on and what news to be kept behind thus not letting the people get to learn more about it. Thus they will be acting like the selector of the news that will go to the people and create an impact on them.
