Pick a song from the list of albums/artist you choice. Either: o Upload it. Click on the "Record/Upload Media Button" in the tool bar above the text box. Then click the right "Upload Media" tab. Then find your song and click upload. o Add a link to a URL. Click the "Link to URL" button above and then copy and paste your file link in the text box and hit "Insert Link"...These links can be from anywhere that does not require log ins so best to keep it to YouTube or I think Spotify may work) 2. Once you have added your choice, tell us why you picked that particular example. AND PLEASE DO NOT JUST SAY BECAUSE YOU LIKE IT!! 3. Pick at least two of your peer's choices (that you have never heard of) and give a response: what did you like or dislike about the choice, anything unique that stood out, would you recommend it to others, etc. HINT: You don't always have to like something to make a good review. In fact I find you can talk a lot more about things you dislike. BUT do not just say "I hated the song," or "it sounded like ass". What was the assness of the music? MY 2nd WEEKLY CHOICE I am sure some of you do not play video games so you are probably not aware that the scores written for modern games are on par with the greatest of films. One such game is the 2018 reboot of Playstation's classic "God of War" series. This time the series is set within Norse mythology and therefore the score has a Norse "feel". Bear McCreary (Battlestar Gallactica, Europa Report etc) was hired to write the score for the game and it is his masterpiece. What I have below is the opening piece and title track from the score..."God of War". The main 3 note phrase truly sets the tone for not only for the score but the game as a whole. That phrase is heard throughout the game when Kratos (main character) is doing something badass or is just being himself (which is badass lol). To offset this ominous 3-note phrase is the counter phrase played in booming trumpets. The lyrics are sung in old Norse similar to Icelandic. Enjoy.
