Part one The week three lab was to setup FlowCrypt in a gmail account and then email Professor Wiley for confirmation. The lab was pretty easy as it only involved setting up FlowCrypt. 1. Add FlowCrypt extension to google chrome browser, 2. After enabling FlowCrypt, had to choose a passphrase which consisted of multiple unrelated words. 3. Sent test email to Professor Wiley gmail account for confirmation. Part two Identify two (2) distinct purposes of public-key cryptosystems used with email 1. Email Encryption – Sender encrypts email with the receiver’s private key. 2. Digital Signatures – Ensures integrity of email by creating a signature using the sender’s private key.
