Cultural racism is the idea that some practices, feelings, and habits are intertwined with race. Racism can apply to other races as well as one's race. Cultural racism can be a part of everyday life, such as family or societal norms and practices. Cultural racism plays a significant role in the inequality of wages for blacks and whites because it is intertwined into societal practices and norms, family gatherings, the education system, and religion. A person who holds a form of cultural racism might believe that the difference in income has to do with educational attainment.
