According to Iris Marion Young oppression/violence is structured. It is ingrained and then we use it in our day-to-day actions. She claims that violence is a tyrannical practice exercised by a specific dominant group. Oppression happens when few people gather together for the same cause of harming others or stating their superiority over them, and these groups can easily be identified because to be feared they have to be recognized by society. To prove this she explained that a person who is born in a group where people are violent and oppressive has no choice but to join in the idea of oppressing innocents.
