a) Authoritarian- In this style of parenting, the parents takes a strict stand. The rules and regulations are rigid. The punishments therefore are also rigid &. The parents always have high expectation from the children here. b) Authoritative- In this type of parenting there are boundaries as well as guidance but in a balanced manner. The children here get more freedom to take their own decisions and thus there is room for learning from the mistakes. This is a healthy style of parenting as compared to the Authoritarian style. c) Permissive- This is a very interesting kind of relationship where very few limitations are put upon the children. These children share a peer level relationship with the parents. They are more like friends. Parents here are very much responsive to the needs of the children.
