In the WSJ article titled , “How Corporate Boards Can Get Serious About Sustainability Issues”, there has been emphasis laid on the ways in which sustainability can be achieved in business operations. This is because there can be knowledge gaps developing among directors of the Board existing in any organization. The knowledge gaps can be about the integration of sustainability into the operational agenda (Smith, 2019). This is because there can be lack of alignment of the vision, mission and values of the organization with the newly proposed/formulated initiatives about sustainability. Therefore, the necessary actions to align the sustainability initiatives will have to be formulated first by the Board of Directors.
