Q Research Proposal: Due Saturday by 11:59 p.m. Students select a topic to complete a qualitative or mixed methods research proposal, utilizing case study methods (this will be the qualitative method in a mixed design). Creswell, Chapter 4, especially example 4.1 (p.78), provides the general required components of the research proposal. In addition, the proposal is required to have: • 10-12 double spaced pages of research • A minimum of 8 literature review sources • Reference and title pages (do not count toward page count) • Appendixes as needed (do not count toward page count) • Headers and subheaders are encouraged Research Presentation: Post to the Research Presentation discussion, Saturday by 11:59 p.m. Students create and present a PowerPoint based upon their research proposal through recorded audio/video. The presentation is required to be: • 10-15 minutes • 8-12 slides (recommended 1 slide per major research proposal section included) • Video brief introduction on self and research (2nd slide) • Audio on each text slide besides video slide • Internal citations in slides with References Slide(s), Reference Slide(s) do not count toward slide count • Graphics only as necessary Rubric PA 430: Research in Public Administration PA 430: Research in Public Administration Criteria Ratings Pts This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomePA430.CLO.01 CLO Description: Construct a qualitative or mixed methods research proposal, utilizing case study methodology.
