There is a huge relationship between the myth of Gauguin’s work and his life. If we see properly, Gauguin is no more attached to the movement he started. Instead of painting things that he has experienced he started painting his fantasies that fit into primitivism. His artworks were pure and natural and made people believe that he lived those natural moments even if that wa to live like a savage. But it was a great myth. He never lived those moments instead he sometimes painted artwork of prehistoric era in his painting. Thus, the statement is so true.
