Wollstonecraft sees education as the key to promote social stability and equality. In A Vindication of the Rights of Women, she finds numerous flaws with the education system given that it is more concerned with making women “alluring mistresses than affectionate wives and rational mothers". In order to prove that women are as rational as men, she calls for the education system to be one that allows women to tap into their potential and “aim at strength of mind and body”.
