Q Writing in his 1532 work The Prince, Niccolò Machiavelli stated, "Wise men say, and not without reason, that whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past; for human events ever resemble those of preceding times." Does this quote still apply to the modern world? Why or why not?

What actually Niccolo Machiavelli wanted to say in his work The Prince is that history repeats itself. And I completely agree with it, however, this doesn’t mean that all aspects are repeated. Sometimes consequences are same but motivations are different. For example, the bombing of Japan was done to end the war but bombing of Syria might lead to a war. In this case history of bombing is repeating but the motivations are different. Another example would be a fashion history.
