Q When we start a research project, we always look into studies that have been done before to help guide our research process and avoid wasting time trying to figure out things that are already out there. This is part of your group project. Collaborate on it and include parts of each group member in the final annotated bibliography. There will be one submission per group. Please upload a Word document. Purpose: To explore Communication studies that have been published on your research topic to guide your research proposal. Description: In this paper, each team will write an annotated bibliography using Communication studies or studies from related fields. Use at least 10 peer-reviewed scholarly articles published in academic journals for your annotated bibliography. You can use the UCF library website and/or Google scholar to find journal articles. Articles from websites, blogs, etc., cannot be included. The studies you select should have method/results/discussion sections. In other words, use studies in which data were collected/analyzed, not opinion-based articles. Make sure each study completely aligns with your research topic. For example, if your topic focuses on the use of social media to communicate about hurricanes, do not use studies that address the general use of social media by college students to interact with friends etc, if there is no hurricane context. Structure of the paper: 1) The names of all team members who contributed to the paper. You don't have to specify who did which part. 2) For each of the 10 articles, first include the reference of the article in APA style. Then, thoroughly describe: 1) the purpose of the study, 2) the research method used in the study, 3) the results found by the authors after analyzing their data. There is an example of paper provided in the module. Summarize in your own words everything you include in your paper - no copying/pasting and no direct quotation. Paraphrase the quotes you want to use. Papers should be 4-5 pages, written using the third person and APA style, double spaced, and a 12-point Times New Roman font.
