The topic of American History which resonates the most with me is the era of Civil Rights Movement. This Movement was borne out of the rage and collective struggle against the discrimination and oppression of the African – Americans in the United States America. The Civil Rights Movement, even though a part of contemporary history finds its lineage from the time of the slave trade. From the enslavement of Africans to their emancipation, from segregation to Brown vs Board of Education, from Rosa Parks to the freedom that the Civil Rights Movement brought fore, the last addition can be considered as the epoch and the crescendo of the entire struggle or movement.
