Institutional Discrimination faced by the Black Americans in the recent times is the result of the social processes from the past that created a gap of racial inequality between the White Americans and Black Americans. The Institutional discrimination is not that prevailing in the modern times but the cumulative effects of traditional institutional discrimination have resulted into the side lining of the Black Americans into the less desired spot in education, medical assistance, housing, wealth, pride and professional options (Understanding Dominant - Minority Relations in the United States Today, n.d.).
