This concept can clearly be understood based on the treatment which the white population had towards the African-American community. They treated them unequally because they had all the powers with themselves through political institution. They made laws and legislations which favored them and were against the African - American community. They did not worry about the situation in which the African-American community or the slaves lived. They were focused on exploiting them and treating them with discrimination, despite the sufferings which the African-American community suffered as slaved under the white population who were rich planters.
