• Definition of concepts: • Black Power Movement: it was a social movement which was different from the civil rights movement because the leaders of the black power movement believed in racial pride, self-sufficiency, had an interest in African heritage, and equality for all Black and African descent people. They were not happy with the desegregation only. They wanted to reconstruct the society by scraping the existing society out completely so that African American voices can get place equal to that of a white man.
