Your first step toward completing this final essay is to compose the prospectus—that is, a half page to page long description of your proposal with a tentative thesis. Essentially, an annotated bibliography is a works cited page which lists your sources (in MLA format) and, beneath each source entry, offers a brief paragraph assessing the source, speculating upon its purpose and possible usefulness with regard to your proposal.
