Q Part 1: Write a post that explains which topic of the four listed below you are interested in out of the four listed below, and why. 1. Civic Stances Taxes. Regulation. Legalize it. Ban it. Conservative. Liberal. Libertarian. Your purpose will be to evaluate three different ways of viewing the world: conservative, liberal, or libertarian, and decide which is best for America's prosperity. 2. Income Inequality Economists now agree that the income gap between the very rich and everyone else is growing -- and at an exponential rate. They do not agree if this is good or bad for America. You're going to help them. 3. Healthcare in America Should the government be providing healthcare/insurance? Would a Single-Payer system be best? 4. Immigration Lots of talk about walls and jobs. Time to interpret the facts: does immigration help or hurt the American economy? Part 2: Discuss one of the articles that you find in the OCC library databases for Essay #3. In your post, summarize the article, and explain why you think it will be helpful to your paper. Include at least one quote from it. Please provide a link to the article by using the "Link to URL" tool in the Rich Content Editor, and also include a proper citation. For the replies, try to find someone who is working on the same topic as you. Check out their article and make other suggestions for how the article could be incorporated into the paper. Or, if you don't like the article, say why not (is it biased? incomplete? states things that aren't true?) and make a suggestion for a different one. Please remember, that it doesn't matter whether or not you agree with someone's topic, perspective, or argument--our goal is to make strong arguments on all sides of the issues. A Quality Response Your responses should be a minimum of three posts and it should address all criteria in the rubric below: • Your initial response should address the question in the Topic question. It should be substantial and follow the grading rubric below. • Your responses to at least two classmates should focus on creating topical depth connections with peers to gain a varied and new insight into the topic.
