Q Discuss the nature and forms of violence in prisons. There are some federal supermax facilities that utilize solitary confinement for the most dangerous. Do you feel this is an effective way to control inmate violence?
There are many forms and nature of violence that happens in prisons. There can be three types of main situations when it comes to prisoner violence. There could be prisoner on prisoner, prisoner on officer, and officer on prisoner. How this violence occurs could occur in different ways. When it comes to prison violence there is scarce resources to use amor weapons. Some of the easier weapons prisoners tend to use are the shank, and or their physical body. The causes for these types of crimes that may happen in prison could be poor management, gangs and other predators,
