Q Review the following before you begin this activity: Paper Choice and Resources & Important Information: Research Paper. Contact your instructor well in advance of this assignment deadline if you need assistance. Choose a topic for your research paper. Before you begin brainstorming and choose a topic, check the Class Research Topics page to ensure you do not choose the same topic as another student. As each student submits a topic proposal throughout this module, the Class Research Topics page will be updated. You cannot move forward with your research paper until you receive instructor approval. Begin by choosing three aviation related subjects that interest you. Through a process of elimination, decide on a final topic. You may use any encyclopedia, including online encyclopedias such as: History.com, biography.com, Wikipedia, time.com, mentalfloss.com, etc. Encyclopedias may be used to provide background information and facts about the topics you are considering to assist you in making your choice of topic only. Important: Use of encyclopedias in any scholastic work is prohibited. For the development of your research paper, you may only use primary and secondary sources. Information about primary and secondary resources is covered in the next module. Remember, you can write from any perspective or lens that interests you: historical, scientific, technological, engineering, or mathematical. Try to find a subject that truly interests you; there is nothing worse than having to conduct research and write about something that does not have your interest. Please submit a unique topic; it would be tedious if everyone chose the "Wright Brothers." ________________________________________ Submit this deliverable as a text entry by the third day of the module week. Read this guide for information about submitting a text entry assignment. (Links to an external site.) Research information about your chosen topic and share at least three brief facts with your classmates. Along with your three facts, address the following items in your entry: • What is your chosen topic? • Why does this topic interest you? • What lens will you utilize and why? • Do you know anything about this topic? • Beyond using search engines, encyclopedias of various types (Wikipedia, History.com, etc.) to find background material, what other sources will you be looking for? After submission, wait for your proposal to be approved. Approval or additional feedback/recommendations will be provided in the feedback section of the grades area for this assignment. Once approved, your topic will be listed on the Class Research Topics page, so everyone can see what has been chosen. Enjoy the opportunity of exploring different topics and lenses for this assignment!
