Above we discussed five models of teacher-centred professional development. Among the five discussed above the most preferred one is ‘Open Classroom’. In this model the teachers get to see each other in action. This brings about a lot of learning process. In the open classroom model, the learning is collaborative in nature and teachers are responsible to create lessons. They invite their colleagues and observe lesson plan. They also give feedback after the post-observation session. In this model, the teacher observation is focussed upon. Here the structured discussion and sharing of the information are main components. The best part of this learning model is that the one who is conducting lesson and the one who is observing both are equally benefitted.
