I think yes, gang violence has reduced but their transnational activities such as human trafficking and drug trafficking has increased over the time. Also, they are using social media networks for better networking. The way that gangs are working has changed a lot over the time and this is one of the changes that time has brought to the gangs activities. I agree with Kennedy (2014) about the fact that one of the major reasons behind the declining crime rates is also the fact that the criminal justice officials are failing to report on the gang activities which are happening all over the United Sates.
