Q Instructions 1. Consult the Succeeding in This Course (Link will open in new tab.) page and create a group of three people. Groups of four will only be allowed in rare cases. 2. Identify a dataset outside of the SCU context that you can use for analysis. It could be a dataset from your workplace or any other dataset to which you have legal access. You may also use open source datasets; the list of open source datasets is always expanding. In the past, students have also looked at individual websites such Redfin, Zillow, NBA, NFL, and other organizations, which allow users to download data. 3. In Phase One, you will identify a “business” problem that can be solved by applying a predictive model on the dataset. 4. Your group may use only linear or logistic regression depending on whether the business problem is a prediction or classification. It is likely that by the end of the project, you will have examined other methods of analysis and would be tempted to use them. I encourage you to do so, but only in addition to using a regression-based method. There is no extra credit for using other methods
