Q For this ice breaker I would like you to think back to what life would have been like in the colonies right before the American Revolution. Imagine a character or yourself and what your role living in the colonies would have been. As a woman, enslaved person, or other minority you would not have had the same role as a free(from servitude), white, man living in the colony. You can reflect on how this would affect your view of the revolution as you try to address the following questions: If you had lived during the time of the American Revolution would you have supported the fight for independence and been a Patriot or would you have remained a Loyalist? Please explain why or why not. You can either think of your viewpoint as someone living in the colony (meaning you can select a type of person from the colony or even find one in the sources to form your view) or you can think about how you would have fit into the colonies back then and form your viewpoint that way. Please remember the Netiquette guidelines. Image from: https://time.com/5323460/declaration-of-independence-john-trumbull/Links to an external site.
